“When I discovered LAHANA, it felt like discovering the graceful waves of home,” says Issha Rose Mata, Miss Hawaii USA 2025. Raised in Hilo, she carries a deep respect for nature and her island roots—so when she first saw LAHANA’s Hawaiian-inspired jewelry, she sensed it was more than an accessory—it was an art piece born of heritage. “The moment I laid eyes on the design, I felt wrapped in family traditions and island breeze.” Already an advocate for arts education and mental health, she was moved by the craftsmanship and spirit embedded in each piece. “Through this jewelry, I want to share Hawaiian beauty and soul with the world,” she affirmed with conviction.

Issha Rose Mata is a Miss Hawaii-based creative professional and the titleholder of Miss Hawaii USA 2025. Born and raised in Hilo, she grew up surrounded by Hawaii’s rich natural environment and strong local community. From an early age, she was immersed in music, dance, and the performing arts, experiences that shaped her appreciation for culture and self-expression.
Her time living and studying in Hilo became the foundation of her values, emphasizing respect for heritage and authenticity. Beginning her contest journey in 2019, she refined both her expressive ability and inner strength through years of experience. In 2025, she earned the Miss Hawaii USA title and now represents Hawaii on a broader stage. Alongside her role, she is actively engaged in initiatives centered on the arts, mental health, and cultural identity, sharing messages that connect Hawaii’s spiritual roots with a contemporary perspective.
